Several Species of Pelagic Birds were driven inland along Padma and Meghna River in Bangladesh after May 2024’s Cyclone Remal. BirdingBD Tours arranged a short Twitch Trip to see those Birds near Dhaka Padma River. The Team was led by BirdingBD Tour’s own Ikbal H babu and the team was Fortunate to Find a total of 04 Species.
Birding in Bangladesh trip report at Charlands of padma around Padma Bridge also called as Padma Bridge WLS. Highlights are Ashy-crowned Sparrow Lark, Red-throated Pipits, Hume’s Lark, Painted Storks, Small Pratincoles, Bengal Weavers, Indian Spot-billed Ducks and White-tailed Stonechats.
This short Trip to Sonadia Island of Cox’s Bazar was targeted toward photographing the Black-legged Kittiwakes. Which is a national rarity. We also found Bar-tailed Godwits, loads of Shorebirds, Crested Terns and one Spoon-billed Sandpiper.
Our Twitch trip to Sherpur Garo Hills mainly looking for the Collared Falconet but we could not find it. We found a Lesser Adjutant, few Great Mynas and Few species of Eagles though.
BirdingBD Tours arranged a Trip to photograph the Critically Endangered Masked Finfoot, Buffy Fish Owl, Streak-breasted Woodpecker, Brown-winged Kingfisher etc in the Sundarban. Bangladeshi and Indian Birders were Present and we all got Great Views and Photos of the Target Birds.
We arrived at Hazarikhil Wildlife Sanctuary at Dawn, just after sunrise. We already had breakfast and refreshments on the way
First Ever Guided Birding Trip Arranged by BirdingBD Tours. This Trip covered a Grassland and a spot in Deciduous Forest of Sherpur Garo Hills. Highlights were the Critically Endangered Yellow-breasted Bunting, Eastern Water Rail, Rosy Pipit, Pied Harrier, Black-browed Reed Warblers, Scaly Thrush, Black-crested Bulbul etc.
