FULL ITINERARY OF 09 DAY MASKED FINFOOT & CACHAR BULBUL TRIP IN BANGLADESH & SUNDARBAN
This is a 09 Days Fully Guided Trip in Sundarban and Bangladesh are , Starting in Dhaka and ending at same.
Day 01: Guests arrive at Dhaka in the evening before Day 1, recieved by Tour Leader & transfered to Hotel for overnight. Birding starts from the next Morning . Early Checkout from Hotel & drive to a nearby grassland in Dhaka looking for Red-necked Falcon & West Himalayan Bush Warbler. After that Roadtrip to Khulna by Private Transport & arrival in the afternoon. Boarding small AC Houseboat/Large Luxurious Non-A/C House Boat at Khulna and Starting Journey Towards Sundarban. This will be our Home for 06 Nights & 05 Days. Staying Nights, Eating and Refreshments will be on the Main Vessel. 03 Main Meals and Snacks will be served few times Each Day. Bottled Water, Tea/Coffee will be available at all times. Rooms are Both Private and Shared Cabins consisting of Single and Double Beds, Electric Outlets, Fans and AC Units. Toilet/Showers are Private or Shared based on Booking. During and after evening, guests will look for the White-eared Night Heron known as chim vạc hoa, Buffy FIsh Owl etc equipped with Flashlights & Thermal.
Day 02-Day 06: Arrival at First Masked Finfoot spot in the Morning and Full day will be spent looking for the Masked Finfoot on board the Country Boat that was tagged along. Full Time Birding inside Sundarban, exploring canals, walking boardwalks looking for the Target Birds and general birdwatching and Photography inside Sundarban. We’ll embark on a smaller engine boat, sitting on Chairs comfortably and exploring narrow canals day & evening. We’ll pack snacks, fruits etc for long birding sessions on the smaller boat until our Target Birds are found. Ship Crew and Armed Forest Guard will be with us. The Main Houseboat is not very spaceous but is cozy & comfortable enough. There are One Western Style shared Toilet & One Traditional Squat Toilet on the Boat.
Day 07: Guests will be Dropped at Khulna in the evening and they will start Overnight 10 Hour Roadtrip towards Chittagong. Check in Hotel at Dawn & Rest for few Hours. Afternoon Birding session will be at Hazarikhil Wildlife Sanctuary watching streams and water holes known for Cachar Bulbul coming to bathe and drink. Night stay at Hotel in Chittagong.
Day 08: Early Drive to the Forest looking for Cachar Bulbul, White-cheeked Partridge, Grey Peacock Pheasant, Blue-naped Pitta, Red-headed Trogon, Chestnut-capped Babbler etc. Evening birding looking for Large Owls & Nightjars. Drive back to Chittagong after that and overnight in Hotel.
Day 09: Early checkout from Hotel & Morning Birdwatching at a Grassland Looking for Chestnut-capped Babbler, Yellow-bellied Pirinia, Lesser Coucal etc. Then drive back to Dhaka and Trip ends in the Afternoon and guests go on their next endeavours.
