The DayTrip started early from Dhaka and we quickly picked up all guests from different locations in Dhaka City. We arrived at the Ghat in Munshiganj where boat would start from and promptly started our journey. We directly went to the location where the Sparrowlarks were reported from and found few birds, both males and female. We all got excellent photos. We also saw Red Avadavats, White-tailed Stonechats etc from there. We checked several charlands along the river and photographed Red-throated Pipits and saw Hume’s Lark in one. We also photographed Bengal Weavers in a flock of Baya Weavers. During evening we found a large flock of Small Pratincoles, Stints and Sandpipers/Greenshanks etc. We all had fun photographing a large flock of gulls that had Black-headed Gulls, Lesser Black-backed Gulls and Pallas’s Gulls in it. There was a flock of Indian Spot-billed Ducks were there also which we got excellent photos of.
We ended up going there once more the following week and got Painted Storks and Black-headed Buntings as Extra.
