Coastal Mudflats Birding in Chittagong/Cox's Bazar - Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Godwits, Terns in January & February
Bangladesh’s South East falls under the Indo-Chinese Biodiversity hotspot & also East Asian Australian Flyway. There are few Mudflats here that support loads of Waders including the Critically Endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper, Endangered Nordmann’s Greenshank, Near Threatened Bar-tailed & Black-tailed Godwit, Black-bellied Plover etc. On a Good day one can see 5-6000 waders of almost 20-25 Species. This place is also a resting place for many interesting shorebirds on migration. Guide will be equipped with a Scope for better scanning.
